These movies share one theme-- they have stayed with me and they keep me thinking-- I haven't even liked them all but they're still rattling in my brain...for one reason or another. I could make this longer but I think I'll start with these-- do they strike a similar cord with anyone else out there? Does anyone else have a similar list in the recesses of their mind? To be honest some on this list I'd need to re-watch to discuss in any depth but I'd gladly do so... Hey Jim, how about a "movie of the week" club.... and then a listology open forum?

I've seen only three of these: the second, third, and fourth. (You should number them for easier reference.) What you might call the three 'colonial' items. I note that two of these, 2 and 3, star that Aussie actor Jack Thompson - sheer coincidence or do you have a soft spot? He and Russell Crowe were also both in L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, weren't they? I know that 3 tells a true story - come to think of it, so does 4.

So what in particular did you want to discuss?

hey g3girl....

if you want to talk to someone about THE SUM OF US, all you have to do is ask jenhowel. i happen to know that she likes that film a lot...good luck! barbieOONA

ps. is PROOF that movie with a blind man and photography...? for some reason hugo weaving (priscilla queen of the desert, the matrix) comes to mind...i think i've seen parts of it.

Thanks re: Sum & jenhowel and yes Proof is the blind man with camera...and his housekeeper had a camera too...
